Thank you for visiting Teachers Rising Up
We are a foundation providing support for teachers, students, and families around school violence.
We will identify, and partner with national and local agencies that can provide rapid response services to those who have experienced a traumatic school event; along with those agencies best suited to provide long term programs to help prevent further tragic school related events.
Find healing – The impact of these traumatic events creates so many victims. We want all victims, whether directly or secondarily impacted, to receive the wide spectrum services they deserve – including mental health, trauma care, and family counselling.
Provide awareness – How often we forget at every violent school event that it’s our teachers who are the first responders. As such, they often suffer from the same type of unseen conditions many other first responders face mainly our firefighters, police, and all those who serve.
Show Support- We are creating a community for teachers around the world to support
one another. There is an amazing spectrum of educators in this world that have cared
for us before we even enter the classroom to beyond our graduate studies. Once
someone becomes an educator, they are always an educator. Teachers provide so many resources to us, it’s time we listen, and give them an opportunity to share their experiences and help one another grow and heal.
This foundation will create every opportunity it can for those willing to help, find ways to support their community, and say “Thank You” to our teachers.
